Dungeons and Dragons and other such things!

I've been saying for a while that I'd like to do some sort of video series on YouTube. I rather wanted it to be something to do with games development, but I've been a bit behind with that recently and thought I'd try something a bit different.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always been very much into Dungeons and Dragons. Up until around 5 years ago I was a regular visitor to my local gaming shop and would get together with a regular group to play D&D Encounters. However, with my ongoing role as a full-time carer, I wasn't always able to get to the group and my involvement eventually dropped off completely.

Just recently, I've been busy working on my little dungeon crawler game, and this has started to rekindle my interest in D&D. Well, it never really went away but working on the game has given me the idea to do something inspired by my love of RPG's both tabletop and video game based. So, I came up with The Hopeless Adventurer.

This is my brand new YouTube channel for D&D and other RPG video game playthroughs. I chose the name because, even though I really enjoy playing RPG's, most of the time my characters meet some sort of horrible fate before the adventure is completed. I'm also not the best gamer in the world (aside from racing games) so the name sort of fits.

I'm currently running through a let's play series of Tales From Candlekeep Tomb of Annihilation. You can find the first video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK7fjeIcUL0 (the sound is a little bit off on this one as I'd not configured my microphone properly, but that will be rectified in the later videos) and the second video will be available sometime this evening.

Check out my new channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4F_aI3niuyVGwQT_Kch-MA and if you like what I'm doing, subscribe and like so you can keep up with my new uploads. I'm going to be uploading regularly because I can fit recording the gameplay in the afternoons when my mother goes for her afternoon nap, and it gives me a chance to enjoy some gaming.

So, what about "Tiny Dungeon"? I'm working on it, but I'm not in any rush to get it finished. It's going to be a little ongoing project that I can experiment with alongside doing the YouTube thing. I'll be posting new updates soon!
